Lockyer Valley Regional Council
A critical framework for future growth, built on a unique multi-lens approach and astute, commercial acumen.
The Lockyer Valley Regional Council engaged Infinitum Partners as consultancy ‘spearheads’ for the delivery of a Local Area Plan (LAP) for the growing rural locality of Plainland in Queensland’s South East.
Infinitum Partners and their consortium of hand-curated consultants worked hard to apply much investigation and consideration to the area’s urban design strategy, and its cooperating infrastructure plan.
Commercial consideration was applied across a range of stakeholder feedback, urban design opportunities, the supporting planning framework, and land ownership to enable the framework and future planning to be best placed to support the future vision for the LAP.
Although identified as a potential future growth area, Infinitum Partners were quick to identify several unique and challenging constraints within the study area that posed a risk to catalysing the council’s vision and timeframes.
This level of advice was received positively by council and now, as the region grows, the Plainland LAP is informing the drafting of the new regional planning scheme.
