Central Highlands Regional Council
Digital planning solutions for increased accessibility and greater efficiencies in regional planning services.
Infinitum Partners in collaboration with Isovist were engaged to support the implementation of a new digital planning solution in response to a series of internal and external challenges experienced by Central Highlands Regional Council and their communities.
The brief required the development and delivery of web hosted e-plan and flood portal. As an alternative to council’s previously antiquated PDF and hardcopy town plan processes. Team IP worked to support implementation, and to assist with the business process improvement opportunities that came about consequently. Improved accessibility, transparency, process efficiency, and a greater ability for customers to self-serve were some of the benefits accrued through implementation.
Importantly, the Flood Portal plays a critical role in the easy display of flood mapping to the community and in their preparation for a potential wet season. This approach provided a deeper and more expansive data set for the community to access regarding their property.
In close collaboration with council, Infinitum Partners immersed themselves in organisational planning process and customer service experiences, to deeply understand, develop and implement new, highly integrated ePlan and Flood Portal.
Currently, the successful delivery of the Central Highlands new ePlan and Flood Portal is working to provide the region’s communities with instant, free and up to date planning information about their property, without the inefficiencies that once held council back from the optimised service delivery they can now offer today.
