Lockyer Valley Regional Council’s Draft Planning Scheme
Lockyer Valley Regional Council
At critical points in project delivery, when resources are tight, sometimes it takes ‘a little more’ to ensure things are delivered on time.
Lockyer Valley Regional Council engaged Infinitum Partners to provide immersive, in-house strategic planning services to assist with the drafting and finalisation of the region’s Planning Scheme, including the preparation of necessary documentation for State Interest Review.
Council’s planning scheme had been on a long journey over several years and Infinitum Partners were asked to apply a fresh perspective in the lead up to State Interest Review, including the critical resolution of internal issues identified with the Draft Planning Scheme.
The team worked closely with Council officers as if they were one of their own, drawing on a strong mix of knowledge and experience gained via a range of other local government appointments to uncover all considerations relative to the review, draft and approval of a successful scheme.
Infinitum Partners were also engaged to work with the team on the consultation of the draft planning scheme. Across a ten-week period the IP team stood shoulder to shoulder with council and engaged in over 350 interactions including one-on-ones, focus groups, pop-ups and drop-in sessions. The consultation was comprehensive and was well received by community.
