Michael is a non-executive director, chairman, business and leadership advisor, facilitator, and coach to organisations in both private and publicly listed environments. He is a specialist in driving business success through cultivating strategy and culture.
He has a track record of growing organisations, development executive leaders, creating performance cultures, and integrating businesses post (M&A) in Professional Services, Property, Engineering, Transport, Hospitality and Resource Industries. As a senior executive and CEO, he has reported to boards of some of the largest organisations in Australia, including Orica, BHP, Queensland Rail and Cardno.
Michael is currently chair and board advisor to various SME businesses to provide expert governance, independent business, and leadership advice, develop clarity and alignment to strategy, and cultivate organisational culture to achieve sustainable growth.
He has an MBA, Bachelor of Engineering, and is a Fellow of Australia Institute of Company Directors. He also is an accredited practitioner of various behavioural transformational tools.
Michael specialises in strategic planning and business development, organisational change, M&A integration, and executive leadership development. He utilises his uniquely broad senior executive experience, his pragmatic, highly effective coaching style, and various behavioural transformational tools to develop strategy, achieve strategic alignment and upskill leadership and cultural effectiveness.

While the provision of effective governance is important in any business, I believe that superior performance cannot be achieved without an ongoing focus on the cultivation of strategy and culture. It is also, in my experience, the most difficult for businesses to consistently achieve.
